A SHORT HISTORY
The Late Mr. B. R. De Silva BA (London) FCA (E&W), then a Partner of the firm Satchithananda, Schokman and De Silva Chartered Accountants founded the firm B. R. De Silva & Company in March 1954. Late Mr. B. R. De Silva (1910-1972) qualified in UK during the War (1944) serving articles under Mr. Batts of E. C. Brown and Batts of Lincolninns field, UK. Late Mr. B. R. De Silva returned to the Island in December 1944 and joined the Treasury as an Assistant Secretary Finance. Along with two other Ceylonese Chartered Accountants Late Mr. Satchithananda and Late Mr. Schokman started the the first all Ceylonese Chartered Accountants firm, Satchithananda, Schokman & De Silva on 01st of May 1945… Readmore
